The temperatures and blooms that accompany this time of year make your choice of locations for sessions in the Richmond area seemingly endless. I’m sharing Jay and Brittany’s spring garden maternity session from last year because although this is a location I have been to dozens of times, a new wave of inspiration is found with each changing season. I knew that Historic Tuckahoe would serve as the perfect backdrop for Brittany’s classic, Southern style. The historic homestead features rolling hills and immaculately kept gardens. It was a great place to allow their toddler to explore while I documented this in-between season for their family. Can we please just talk about that bright and happy field of buttercups?! That’s what I mean… I’ve been here so many times, but had never noticed that before! Brittany selected the perfect outfits for her session. The floral pattern of her dress from Red Dress Boutique was the perfect accent as she kept other patterns to a minimum with her husband and daughter’s clothes. She created a romantic look that paired perfectly with the spring blooms. Also, I’m having a fan girl moment for Landry’s Beaufort Bonnet Company romper with its little bow!
